Hopefully we get this deal done soon.
I hate when transfers drag on and on.
Now to catch up on the Suarez thread!!
Lol.

Blackpool manager Ian Holloway rounded on Liverpool tonight after describing their bid for Charlie Adam, believed to be around £4million, as "disgraceful".

Holloway confirmed manager Kenny Dalglish was keen to take the midfielder, who scored from the penalty spot in the 2-1 defeat by Sunderland, to Anfield.

The Blackpool boss said there had been also been bids for the Scot from Aston Villa and Birmingham but both had been rejected.

Holloway said: "I was thinking Liverpool and Charlie. I thought fantastic what a great club for him to go to and them when I heard the bid I thought it was disgraceful.

"I don't think it was Kenny that put that offer in. Mr (Damien) Comolli (Liverpool's director of football strategy) should look at what is going on and get realistic.

"What they offered is about the price Charlie would have been worth when Kenny was last playing.

"Is it a destabilising tactic from the three clubs, Birmingham, Aston Villa and now Liverpool? I don't know.

"Maybe I am the only one who can see what his value might be. It is all right admiring something. I like my neighbour's car but if I don't pay the right amount of money for it I ain't going to get it.

"They had better start by putting a figure one in front of the complete rubbish they have been offering so far."

We're not getting him then? Holloway will look a little silly if they accept a slightly higher bid for him now.

His contract is up soon Ian. Add a 1 before the figure that's been offered? Unfortunately you'll get fuck all for him soon so I think you need to wise up.

I think his contract runs out in about 18 mths. Does sound silly the figure Holloway's looking at, but from his perspective, one can understand what he's driving at. He's worth that much to them and their EPL season, no doubt.

I hope we've got back ups planned if adam and suarez don't get bought

Ideally ones who aren't shit

He's pobably the only Red that will hold it for a while.

The T-bone's probably got a couple in his bedroom too.
I've got a picture of me with it from November last year.

Sorry you dont have an FA Cup picture to go with it. ;D

they're blackpool, what's being offered is probably a record fee for them

now Holloway's got to explain to his captain why he can't move to Liverpool

Blackpool? The team who did the double over us, is 1 point behind us with a game in hand?

I think it's quite obvious why they're not letting him join us, Rebel. Your post doesn't really make sense.

Yep they should roll over then shouldn't they because its us.

Just like we have for Madrid on several occasions.

Holloway is mouthing off in the media and that's his prerogative but nobody is going to pay Blackpool £10M.

He'll hang onto him until the summer, and rightly so, unless a massive bid comes in. £10m+. That's fair enough from his point of view.

If he's shit we can all blame Doc
Haha. Indeed. Head well and truly on the chopping block.

Holloway says we offered £4 million and thats an insult, how much does he want!? Who's going to pay £8 million plus?

I would have thought that the quality of the player dictates the transfer fee not the club he plays for.

I understand that it is harder for a club like Blackpool to turn down any decent offer for one of their players but if he is as good as everyone(Doc) says he is then surely he is worth more than £4m.

I have some sympathy for Holloway.

We wouldn't be exacly over the moon if some club said they are going to offer £20m for Nando

They'll settle for 6, but he's just bargaining for more money.

Yep, its called "negotiating". I don't understand why people think we should try and get people on the cheap and then moan when the boot is on the other foot.

You truly are a bit mental if you believe that any club would simply say "Oh, it's Liverpool, fuck negotiating, let's just give them him for the first price they think of".

No but there will be considerable pressure from the player to go to LFC because that's how it works

will it mean we get a better deal? it depends on the circumstances

Rebel, the point is that we've no right to expect anything from Blackpool because we've been victims of the same thing.

I hope we dont get taken to the cleaners but we cant complain if we are. He's their best player.
