Mate, you were right about him though. As he started to get games towards the end of the season you could see he was a class act. It was criminal of us to let him leave. And fucking replace him with Poulson. You'll not hear me whine about your approval of him. No sir.

I wanted Aquilani second to Sneijder, and was more than happy we signed him.
We were led to believe he would only be out for the first two months of the season. Had that been true it would have been worth it, IMO. The talent was there for all to see.

Maybe he thinks (rightly) that Adam is a Blackpool player who could help them stay up and thus earn the club, what £40M? . Maybe do the same next season. Then he wont give a fuck if he goes on a free.

Suppose why would anyone want to sell their captian and best player who is under contract. We might have to offer 8 million to get him, but is he worth it?
I'd think if the move does not work out we can still sell him on for 5 million cos he's already proved how effective he can be for a smaller side and is still young despite looking like a welsh milkman as Gene said.
