1. He's not just a CM that's been in the news a lot. He's put in some damn fine performances that show him in a much better light than that. Do you really think Kenny would be after him if that was the case ? I'll go with Kenny's opinion rather than yours in this case.

2. He's young, English and EPL proven. If he's not worth 7M+ then he really isn't LFC quality in the first place. I would guess this is Blackpool's thinking too.

8mil is a fair offer

BUT

He has 18months on his contract
Handed in a transfer request
Has had half a season in the EPL

This does not fucking justify their stupid 16mil price tag
 
Depends how much would be involved by way of those bonuses. If they really want as much again as the basic fee, they can go swivel on it.

Exactly. Weird that people can't see we're doing to Blackpool precisely what Chelsea are doing to us.
 
Have we tapped the guy up? If you believe we have, you also believe Kenny's a liar, because he's said we'll be doing things properly. Have we tried to make out that Chelsea were messing about, to try and excuse our tactics (even though we probably could have)? Does Kenny stand to gain personally from Torres going?

The two cases are not nearly as comparable as some of you fellas want to think. Are you trying to persuade yourselves that they are, in order to cushion the blow of Torres leaving?
 
My point was simply they can choose whatever price they want. If they want £1bn then so be it. But let's just leave it if they want too much.
