john henry said he was shocked at our squad depth (or something like that) and its a problem we really need to address, thankfully we are, and by the looks of things we may end up with one of the strongest becnhes in the league
 
After the capture of Jordan Henderson for £16m, Dalglish is still keen to tie up Blackpool ace Charlie Adam but will not bid more than the £8m the club offered in January.

Like Downing, Adam also wants an Anfield move.

The Liverpool board have remained true to their word in pursuing Dalglish's targets and not, as some feared, simply following the recommendations of director of football Damien Comolli.

Henderson, Downing and Adam are all Dalglish's choices as he pieces together his own squad.

Adam is a good player dont think he would warm the bench. I'm thinking it would be good to have Adams great corners fired towards the best arial threat in the league...We rarely score score from corners but with Adam and Carroll we will increase the percentage chance of that occuring.
 
I agree with Gerry and Lewy. Personally I think Adam is a decent player and would get into the team on merit, but even if that were not the case we do need to build up the squad.
If the £8m is right it would be a really good deal.

I found this somewhere more assists than any Liverpool player and the same number as Downing and Young. I excluded stats for his goals as a lot of them are pens, but without that he chipped in with a good few without

it makes a lot of sense. he will cross the ball with his left foot. carroll will head it in. or if the ball happens to be on the the right side of the pitch, rather than hope lucas by some miracle manages to switch the play, we will just have henderson cross the ball with his right foot and again carroll can head it in.
 
It will be interesting to see what our midfield looks like next year, if so someone is going to drop down the pecking order.

I wonder if Kenny is thinking wing-backs? That would give him loads of permutations in midfield with Gerrard, Ming , Adams and Henderson.
Would it resolve our width problem...hmmmmmmm

Suarez would be on that list at 5 assists....and in 13 games. Average that over the season and only nani betters it! Hopefully we'll be full of goals and assists next season!!!

Raul is an excellent player in my book and was close to being our best last season.
He links very well with Suarez.
 
I'm worried there is some truth in the Meireles rumours. I'd be gutted because I think he's great. We can rotate all season and Raul can pop up in various positions.

Would Villa take Shelvey on loan? I don't want him going to Blackpool anyway. I want him to go to a premiership side and try get 30 games under his belt.
