Would it be fair to say that he's stepped up to the plate and is now leading this team pretty much?

I know he can still be a bit frustrating at times but over the last few weeks I reckon nobody has done as much as this guy to dig us out of a hole.

Turning it on against light mid-table opposition at home sure.

Left his man for the first at ld Trafford and spent the rest of his team on the pitch booting the fucking ball into touch.

I've said it before; he's almost the best player in the world.

My greatest problems with him is his work rate and his consistency

He seems to be trying to improve his work rate

Ideally the consistency will come

Well, I don't think anyone is or going to be suggesting that he is the best player in the world. We all know he's got flaws in his game that he likely won't iron out.

Does that mean he doesn't deserve credit when due?

I think you missed my point with my last line. I meant that that's the frustration with him - he's so close to being fucking amazing.

Nah, I got that. I feel the same way about him.

I guess I just felt that whatever frustrations he brings, he seems to be really trying to get us going again and that falls outside of the stereotypical view of a Brazilian flair player if you know what I mean.

Yep, don't disagree with that.

If or when he adds consistency he'll be a 60 million player.
No doubt about it.

His work rate off the ball was quite unbelievable, considering some of his less than impressive efforts in the past.
All are attackers did great with the pressing, and the usual Coutinho would have been a hindrance to the effort, not today though.

He's been very good. Now if only someone can teach him how to shoot..

Thats usually the story with some players of the attacking midfield flair type. Still only 22 aswell.

He is a "baller" the end. There is no player in the current team with his ability not technically or physically who can match him. He is who all players should be based on minus his shooting

I love how he can beat a man by dropping his shoulder. He can take the ball in any environment, stand the opposition up and then just skips passed them, similar to the way Isco can breeze past a player. Both can go right or left which is lovely to watch.

It's easy to forget he's only 22.

If he continues to work as hard as he is right now, he'll be a bona fide world beater in time.

I thought he gave his best performance in the red shirt last night.
Here's hoping for more consistency as well as some better chance conversion rate.

Hes a better version of Yossi.
He needs to start delivering end product on a regular.
Right now he looks great but doesnt deliver enough.

I think problem is sometimes he rushes it too much and his mind is on another level so always thinking about the next move and his execution is not correct but he will get there. His hunger is great to see and when he lost control of a loose ball last night, he was so annoyed with himself. Love to see that in a player even if he did muck it up, there's always a space for coutiniho in the side as he does offer other things even when those through balls are way off...

End product is everything for a player like him.
I think hes terrific I really do, but the best players deliver 8s or 9s nearly every game and influence results. I want to see that from Coutinho and he deffo has the ability.
