There's some talk of England appointing a new captain, which is badly needed IMHO. Borthwick wouldn't even be in the team if I was picking it.

He's not someone that should be guaranteed a place in the England team either. Then again there's not too many great choices for captain there.

I actually think Moody would be a decent shout. While I agree that, at first sight anyway, he doesn't look like a nailed-on choice for the team, that's because there are a number of good options in his position rather than because he himself isn't good enough. I think he has what it takes to lead the side and I agree there aren't that many viable options (of international class anyway) for the job. Maybe that adds up to guaranteeing him a place.
