Pre Match [EFL Cup] Palace (H) - Wed 19:45 GMT

It is 100% time for change.

All I have to say is that we had a 100% record in the league until a unnamed mod (who's name comes between C and E in the alphabet) decided I was taking too long to post a pre match thread and posted it from my account. Since then, the voodoo is strong.

Can we recover? I am not sure.
I’m merely this site’s Sir Humphrey. Keeping things tidy and allowing the bright lights to shine

I'd like to see a vast improvement in attitude and basic football defending.

I'm not having this we can't defend corners, throw ins and free kicks because of something the manager said. That's shite.

And if the ball is bobbling around the box lump the fucker up the pitch not knock it out for a throw or start pissing about with it along the 18 yard box - as we will get breaks in the attacking third during a match.

A rearranged team may not have the technical ability of the 'stars' but we can and must slug it out first and let the attackers do their thing. Fuck the result just let the crowd see that your up for it 'cos they will be.

Slot didn’t do a presser, which the club are entitled to do in this competition. It’s reported Gravy and Isak are training so I’d give them both 45 minutes to get some sharpness back.

Woodman
Ramsey
Gomez
Endo
Robbo
Gravy
Nyoni
Gerrard
Chiesa
Isak
Ngumoha

If Jones is ready for the weekend I’d play Mac in this, again for fitness.

Wanted to see Danns but he appears to be dead too

So Rio, Nyoni, Chiesa and Gomez on, Szobo and Virgil off. Pick the others randomly, everyone's shit right now anyway

I’m already taking my boys. Their first proper match. I just hope we get the win for them.

My son's first ever game was last season. At home to Nottingham Forest...

He's going to this tomorrow as well.

Apologies, but your boys are in for a rough one. Sadly they will be collateral damage as the Football Gods continue to wage war on the Halmeister family. Your boys be no match for their otherworldly power. Hopefully the half time pie is at least decent for them.

I'd normally not be arsed if we went out here but a third loss to Palace and yet another loss overall will turn the heat up on Slot and the squad even more. We need a result.

This sounds like the making of a marvel film.

The last match i attended, the midfield pair was David Thompson and Steven Gerrard. Liked them both - thought they both had good careers ahead of them. Didn't notice that one would be a journeyman and one, possibly the best ever player to play for us.

This was back in the day when you had to phone up, 26 days in advance.

Haven't had the opportunity to go since, until this match. @Richey had a ticket going and ive snapped it up. Massive thanks dude!

Can't sleep. Like a kid on Christmas Eve....

I love the build up to matches as much as the match itself. What's the best pre match pub on the east side of the ground?

I hope to see at least some of the 1st teamers, selfishly hopefully VVD because he needs a rest, and Wirtz and Isak's coming of age in a red shirt.

I’d say the Sandon is better than the Arkles. There’s a bar under the Kop which I use for a quick bottle or seven before going up. They sometimes have live music and sky sports on the telly.

We should reward Morrison and Sonni-Lambie with some minutes.

So of course Slot who doesn't have a clue right now won't do that.

I'd like to see whatever our version of full strength is. We need to learn to win again, and the 'stars' don't deserve the reward of being rested for this.
100%. A win against the Nigel’s would be an enormous lift having been beaten twice by them recently and might get us moving again.

Figueroa has been decent recently as well. I'm not expecting the world from him, but it would be nice to reward performances, especially when the first team are shite
100% those saying punish the 1st team for being shite are bonkers.

Rotate and rest.
