England team - euro 2012

There are flaws all over though. The front lads Sturridge/Defoe/Wellbeck need plenty of service to feet or in behind and don't really possess the ability to keep hold of it and bring others into play. Young and Walcott are both quite direct but lack discipline when off the ball (which we're likely to be, alot) and the midfield lacks energy.. someone with a bit of spark and drive.
If Gerrard isnt fit I'd play Young in the free role and Oxlade out wide. The oppo will know fuck all about him.
Parker-Barry
Young
Wallcott------Oxlade
Carroll

Hart-Walker, Lescott, Jones, Cole- Young,Gerrard,Barry,Walcott- Sturridge, Carroll.
He loves 4-4-2 does Woy so won't defer from that..... Carrol to start the first 2 games and when Rooney comes back, either out if he is shite, or drop Sturridge/Walcott/Young.
His excuse if it is a disaster is that he was trying the young ones....... Maybe even throw Ox-Chambo in that team as he wil have no fear. If he goes then play the kid, don't waste the place.

I think Roy will do a standard england international performance. No better, no worse

Euro 2012: Rio Ferdinand to be left out of England squad
England manager Roy Hodgson is set to omit Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand from his squad for Euro 2012.
More to follow.

Guess this means EBJT will be going then.

Hahahhaha loving their stance on racism hahahahhaha fucking hell

Walker also out due to injury apparently. Glen wins RB role by default?
Limped off in his last game, I'm no doctor but it looked like a broken foot. I feel for him, he's a great player and would have deserved a place in the team.

On the other hand, I hate Roy and would like to see being utterly humiliated.

Or doing so well, that United make him Fergie's replacement

Rio cant play 2 games in a week according to his manger so EBJT in by default?

Surprised Richards isn't in

The full squad's being announced tomorrow. I would suspect Richards will be in the squad with Walker injured. Unless there's a surprise call up for Phil Neville. *sniggers*

I take it Joey "I'm better than Gareth Barry" Barton isn't going to make the squad ?

Dont like the fucker and i know he has fitness problems but not taking Rio Ferdinand to the Euro's is plain lunacy, still England's best defender imo.

I just had a look at the squad England had at the World Cup two years ago. Capello didn't do himself any favours at all. Surely whatever team England select, any of the teams posted above, will be better than this.

1. David James (Been released from Bristol City!)
2. Glen Johnson
3. Ashley Cole
4. Steven Gerrard
5. Rio Ferdinand
6. John Terry
7. Aaron Lennon
8. Frank Lampard
9. Peter Crouch
10. Wayne Rooney
11. Joe Cole (Not even good enough to be a squad player for us)
12. Robert Green (Playing Championship football after his howler)
13. Stephen Warnock (Not even in the international frame now)
14. Gareth Barry
15. Matthew Upson (Released by West Ham, can barely get a game at Stoke City)
16. James Milner (Can''t get into Citeh's first-team)
17. Shaun Wright-Phillips (Can't even get into QPR's first-team)
18. Jamie Carragher (Can't get into our first-team)
19. Jermain Defoe (Can't get into the Spurs first-team)
20. Ledley King (Played 21 games the last two years)
21. Emile Heskey (No explanation needed)
22. Michael Carrick
23. Joe Hart (Should've played. Was overlooked considered a rookie)

GK: Hart, Green, Carson

RB: Johnson, Lescott
CB: Dawson, Terry, Cahill, Jones
LB: Cole, Baines

CM: Parker, Barry, Lampard, Gerrard
RM/LM: Walcott, Young, Downing, Milner

ST: Rooney, Welbeck, Zamora, Carroll

I bet I'll get at least 20 out of 23.

Can't see Dawson making it. He only made 7 appearances in the whole of last season.

Carrick's bound to go surely? He has a pretty strong season at United.

Wouldn't have Downing and Zamoro in either tbh.

The three goalkeepers should be Hart, Ruddy and Fraser Foster. But Ben Foster will amongst them to represent West Brom.
