Deserves it's own thread.
So Ramsey ("I believe we have the best team. We've been through a lot. We're seeing the rewards.") & Bale ("They big themselves up before they've done anything, so we're going to go there and believe we can beat them. "I think we've got a lot more passion and pride about us than them. We'll definitely show that on the day. I don't know what it is but, if you're Welsh, we feel more pride and passion than anyone else) have started throwing the barbs though happily it seems no English player has risen to the bait.
Quite the contrary, Lallana has been very complimentary. Though Wilshere, when asked, admitted no love was lost and added "If you put both teams down on paper, we would win the game."
Bale appears to be revelling in the verbal sparring ahead of Thursday’s Group B game in Lens and took the opportunity to have another dig when asked how many England players would warrant a place in manager Chris Coleman’s selection. ‘None,’ he replied and he was later backed up by Ramsey who, when asked the same question, said: ‘The same as Gareth — none.’
BBC have a selector for a combined team here so how many Welsh would make your combined team : http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36516979
I really have a hard time picking any Welsh players over their English counterparts, with the obvious exceptions of Ramsey & Bale.
I fervently hope we shove Ramsey's words back down his arrogant throat ! I'll go 3-1 England and my combined team is below (Walker over Clyne for his attacking, Rose because I like his aggression and he's had a great season. Sturridge over Kane because when space is limited he's the man - and he's a better box player for me. Vardy's pace would have any team shitting themselves.
