How long is he out for?

Hopefully it's not a tear as he was really playing well and we're a far better team with him at LB.

Then there's Wisdom, Flanagan and Robinson.

As I see it, it's either:

or

Johnson Skrtel Carra/Coates Agger

At home I'd rather an attacking full back on both sides so I'd go with Downing and GlenJo ahead of any of your suggestions. Downing has been playing with confidence and has not been nearly as bad as people make out when playing at the back.

Yes, but Valencia would rip Downing a new arsehole, so I think it's wiser to put Johnson on the left against United.

Also, as Ross said in the other thread, it might be wiser if we start setting up shop against the bigger teams. We're playing nowhere near good enough to outplay them currently.
