Been a while since I last saw him play a full game so maybe.....maybe not, he might not look slow if you watch clips of him trying to press or tracking a runner....but it comes in different forms, you can be slow to react, slow to see danger and get across, slow to pick a pass. It's not just about what speed you recorded on the stopwatch once upon a time. Spanish league is more about technicality than tempo/physicality so seeing Las Palmas fans highlighting it rings alarm bells.

The clips of his passing doesn't reflect the stats, nor the fans' views.

I agree with you, can't trust compilations. But I saw the Getafe game and he looke squire good.
He's improving, we'll see how he does in the summer.

Any other games you've seen? What is 1 game at the end of the day. I watched Man U Southampton and Sulemana looked like prime Ribery. Thing is PL regulars know the strengths and weaknesses of more or less every side, we know Yoro is a bag of shite, do you know enough about a Getafe to pinpoint how someone like Baj would look good?

The eye test, the stats/data, the comps....all of it needs to marry up and only then can you be recognised as a proper option.

Yes but I've seen him play for us too. So it's not like we don't know what his potential is.
He was shit enough to again get picked and start for Spain's u21.
We already have him contracted, why dismiss him without having a proper look?
