Post Match EPL Bournemouth (A) 3-2 January 24th

AFAIK, Ice hockey players sit in their full fucking gear throughout a match and are ready to come on at a moment's notice. Footballers are so indulged that sitting with shin pads and boots on is enough to bring them out in a rash. It's genuinely pathetic that it gets indulged/allowed.

If I was manager I'd send any player who isn't in full gear and hasn't only to take his sweater off right back to the locker room.

It certainly isn't asked too much to put your shin pads on and tie your laces.

When can you start?

Ice hockey players change on the fly (no stoppage in play) and typically play shifts of just 30-45 seconds at maximum intensity before returning back to the bench in favour of fresh legs. They warm up before the match and stay warm throughout. Not a fair comparison tbh.

Endo might not have needed so long if he'd actually seen some match time since the leaves turned colour.
