Not a very polished performance, which isn’t surprising considering we have new players who need to adapt to the team and the league (excluding Kerkez). Ekitike looked very good and energetic. Wirtz, on the other hand, had a modest impact tonight. Kerkez and Frimpong didn’t impress me either, but they have different roles than in their previous clubs, so it will take time for them to get used to our style of play.
The central defence looked a bit shaky and nervous. As we all know, we’re vulnerable to counters, but I’m sure it’ll get better when we establish a proper double pivot combo once Grav is back in the line-up.
Despite the 4-2 scoreline and the two goals conceded, it’s positive that we never give up. We have a lot of goals in this squad and can outscore anybody. I’m happy for Chiesa and for Salah’s late goal, even if he wasn’t convincing for most of the game.

Whatever you say about him, you can't deny that footballing quality. That was such a brilliant finish. Literally the only way he could finish that chance, and he finds it under the most intense pressure.
On the whole a very disjointed performance, our midfield is a serious worry (and as good as Grav is, he alone won't sort this fucking kamikaze shit out).....not a defensive brain cell in any of their heads. I counted 243 giveaways and 74 fouls between them. Our back line were being put under pressure time and time again. Semeyo was single handily taking the piss. We're 2-1 up and we've got Endo, Robbo and Gomez in their box, are you having a laugh?
