Post Match EPL - Burnley (A) 0-1 Sunday 14th Sept 14:00

Salah will find his Mojo, I’ve little doubt of that but even his poor run he’s scored two (1 winner) and set another winner in 4 games of stinking the place out.
Salah does not deserve credit as a match winner today. Nothing special about his contribution today. He scored a good penalty instead of skying it, but we have several good penalty takers with at least equal probability to score.

I am worried about Salah. When he does not have his mojo, he is quite shit. He should not get more than 60 minutes, when he doesn’t have it.

Yeah winning four games with half a new team and the manager figuring things out is hugely positive - especially after an international break.

The last minute goals in all four games is amazing to see and great character but

- we were lucky today - luck runs out eventually
- Kerkez is a headless Hungarian chicken
- how long will Salah remain untouchable?

He doesn't have any excuses. No games during the summer, so well rested. He just looks slow nowadays.

Salah must have nudes of Arne.

He'll happily hook a Quansah or Kerkez for looking half as bad.

5 stinkers in a row but rest assured he'll be in the line up midweek playing the 90 whilst Ruggeri pockets him the entire game....bit like he did when we went to Atalanta few years ago.

I loved that game. I knew what it would be like. When have we ever played well at Turf Moor? I don't know why we're focussing on individual performances when we got dragged back into the 1970s and had to play football against a team that makes the pitch feel like a Tesco carpark. That's what they do, and they do it both well and consistently. That's Salah's second goal in his ten games against Burnley... If you think he used to score hatricks for fun against them, he didn't, it's never happened. No-one scores hatricks against Burnley. Except yossi benayoun, the exception that proves the rule.

This was always going to be trench warfare, gradually gaining yards, relying on your mates to hold their nerve, and eventually, thankfully, grinding them down and winning. That three points is going to look fucking amazing in May.

We looked a lot more lively when Robbo and Bradley came on.

Salah was poor, but we also aren't using him as much last season. We are missing the early long direct pass, which VVD, Trent and even Kevin were so good at. The first half especially we were overplaying the ball and not beating a man or taking a shot. Lot of possession but very few chances.

Seeing Robertson taking a corner in 2025 is depressing.

I thought we were quite good today. Final ball, little bit of chemistry missing, both of which I feel will come in time.

Another day and that's a 5-0 tonking.

Doesn't mean we weren't lucky to win, but the performance itself wasn't concerning IMO.

What's your point? You're so fucking myopic, like it's beyond being used against a lesser team. You're the epitome of misplaced football snobbery and entitlement, you irritating cunt.
Did you even watch the game today?! It was a tongue in cheek comment that is no surprise went a million miles over your head you thick fuck.

Thought we had a load of possession, didn't get it really going but kept trying. Front 3, have yet to click and seem to be mostly playing as 3 random strikers but I like the fact looked solid, dominant and tried to keep playing. Defo do miss the Trent passing but it is what it is, we have to move on. I don't honestly get the negativity though on here, we won 4/4 without ever really looking under threat even if we haven't hit full exciiting rampant best, in fact the whole PL is rather slow to get going /

I thought Kerkez was fine - getting crosses into the box at last - bar that braindead dive that left Slot with no option but to sub hm off. I though Robbo was excellent too.
He looked very very rash and was lucky to not get a red. He could have easily got a second yellow after that pathetic excuse or a dive.

He was the one I was expecting to be an instant success, and so far he's looked decent in 1 game only

We’ve had our pants pulled down with that fee.

We've somehow had the best summer ever, and ended up with a worse team.

I mean, we've won four, clear on top and hopefully we'll see them all improve over the next few games. But it's not the performances anyone was hoping for, even Ekitike hasnt been as good as he looked in the first few.

"without ever really looking under threat"

What are you talking about? We've needed 3 last min winners to salvage 6 points, we could just be easily sitting mid table next to City right now.

Half the team look fucking shit, the attack hasn't functioned collectively, defensively fragile (although) we've been better the last 2) but this was fucking Burnley and Grav is carrying our midfield.

Oh FFS. With so many new signings to integrate, we were always going to start this season playing less than our best. I wasn't expecting us to go top so early and the rest of the league will be wondering what'll happen when we DO start motoring. Calm the f'ck down, you lot.
