We are all the way back at the beginning of the journey, where klopp is screaming at the team "play fucking football."
Cowardly, safe three touch bullshit in buildup. Then some little techy shit, but not even to put a man through, instead it's in fucking buildup and we lose it anyway.
Then, we do get the fullback where we want him and there's either noone in the box, or the crossing is fucking atrocious.

Macca should be included in the same study
Our issues in this game is the 5 across midfield - there is no-one bar Gakpo up front - and TBH he's done well on 3 occasions but each time fucked it up. However other than that : no pace, no movement across the front line (bar Gakpo and 1 vs 4 is easy to defend) and no willingness to take a chance and zero confidence.
Frimpong and/or Rio need to come on ASAP. Chiesa too. Move Wirtz back to centre and hope he finds that form he showed for 5-6 games. Szobo or Macca to come off both are crap today. Robbo for Kerkez too.

It's tough to watch this footy - it's just not fun, and makes me want to turn it off.
can't even watch this with the kids - as they still somehow think this manager can turn this around.
He's managed to stop the leaking of goals but in the process, he's removed much of the attacking flair the team had (albeit with little end result).
I really don't know what he can do to fix this but I'd start with a few simple steps.
1) Macca cannot start. He's done nothing this year to justify a starting position - sorry.
2) We need to change our formation to accomodate injuries/lack of forms - I'd go with a 3-5-2 (3 CBs, including Robbo until JoeGo is back), Frimpong and Kerez as wingbacks and Dom/Gravvy with either CuJo (who's also woefully off form and plays too slow) and whoever. Up front, Ekitike with Wirtz behind him.
3) I'd go with "play your in-form players" approach - Yes Chiesa did nothing in his first start, and I dont' know if he'll do anything anyways, but he was in form and firing on all cylinders and he was just blunted. How does that help your team? How does that show players who aren't guaranteed starters that hard work etc => opportunities? It's a big issue.
Bottom line, give me 4th today and I'll take it. The team won't be able to win a cup (sorry to let Dreamy down) and I'm back on the "if he stays, we may not even finish 4th" train ... Probably going to get criticized for this, but IF we lose, at least those in the self-congratulatory “we’re unbeaten in eight games” camp will have that streak cut short.

Chiesa for wirtz (who will be dead on his feet by then), go more traditional 442
When that doesn't work
nyoni for ibou. More of a 1 cb and 2 fb in possession, grav drops deep when out of possession .

i don't even mind if we keep leaking goals, because thats going to happen. The man clearly cannot coach an attacking system.
Our bench options aren't great, but we need to see Frimpong coming on soon enough, and maybe Rio too.

Making a fuck tonne of mistakes and his decision making is that of somebody who cannot see the woods through the trees. He’d do well to watch games from August, Sept 2024 when the Klopp muscle memory kept us sharp up front and his more patient passing gave us a lot of control in the games.

Macca was correct, too much change in a short period of time and non-footballing issues.
What I do not understand is how a multi billion pound have not been able to make changes within the club to make a difference?

I don't even care that he was miles offside. We found a player in the box with a pass and put the ball in the net. Easily the most impressive thing we've done.
