I'm going to take a pot at this starting lark since it's been years since I started one and I'm hoping we ride the crest of the good feeling Qarabag wave. Going by results we can't rely on the usual starters !

Bloody stupid 20.00 KO again FFS.

Fotmob has this for the likely lineups though I think Konate will be back and replace Robbo in that lineup. Gomez may also be back to play at RB (or Robbo could play there for 60 mins or so).

Let's hope Ibu is back. I'd keep Endo RB because why the fuck not. I also expect Wolt to start for Newcastle, they will set piece us to death with him & Burn.

Ali

Endo
Ibu (please god) - if he & Gomez can't start I'd rather see Nallo than a makeshift against actual attackers.
Virgil
Kerkez

Gravy
Macca (i'd love to see Jones but Macca might have played himself into form)
Szob

Salah
Tekkers
Wirtz

No Gakpo please, this is the team.

Ibou should be back for this one. Really not sure what to do on right back. We have 8 days rest until the City game after this one so we could hope that Gomez can start there. This is a game we just can't lose and have to win.

Especially after Endo gets his customary yellow

I’m not Endo bashing here as I like him. Just not at RB

Arne needs a win in this I feel.

Gomez at RB if he’s fit. If not Dom or even Kerkez with Robbo at LB

Ali
Dom/Gomez/Kerkez
Ibou
VVD
Kerkez/Robbo
Gravy
Macca
Dom/Wirtz
Salah
Hugo
Wirtz/Gakpo

No to Kerkez at RB. He just isn’t up to it. His right is for standing on only.
No to Robbo vs Gordon (although better)

If it ain’t Gomez and he continues to ignore Ramsey then Szobo or jones are the only realistic options. Endo would be toasted and roasted

This is going to be a massacre.

Bad enough having to watch Salah and Gakpo for 90mins most weeks, now we're going to have to endure ginger bollocks rip to shreds whichever midfielder the bald cunt decides to play there.

We’ve generally turned up when it’s a ‘bigger’ team so I’m not expecting a massacre.

Don’t get me wrong there will be sideways, turgid-ness, partially ponderous football at times but I think we’ll scrape a win.

I mean I don't disagree, but why'd you have to be so sensible about it though.

Newcastle are without Joelinton and possibly without Bruno G. If that is the case (although Bruno might be back) I think we can win the midfield battle. The only way we lose (like most games this season) is unforced errors from players or cowardly tactics in the final 10 mins of a game.
