Post Match EPL Sunderland (A) 0-1 Wednesday February 11th 20:15

it seems like we keep on playing a few bad matches and then on the verge of getting fired, Slot would pull something out of his magic bag to get a surprise win. most people didn't have much hope going into the match. then the performance surprised many. we were so consistent last season, and this season seems like the reverse. there is no such thing as turning the corner this season. every match is a lucky draw.

I think yesterday showed the dressing room haven’t quit on Slot, the lads at least worked hard.

I actually think we played quite well last night, for large parts, and I dont agree with the notion that other teams would have tore us a new one.
We only conceded 2 shots on target and created 4 big chances ourselves with 23 shots. Away to a team that just doesn't lose at home I thought we did brilliantly.
When Endo was stretchered off he had the most tackles and recoveries on the pitch. He was playing well.

As said it was a step forward towards a chance of CL qualification, and nothing else as these are the performances you expect every time.

We were definitely tighter, with Endo defending on the front foot and Konate and Virg being more aggressive, and more balance from Robbo. You can pick holes all over that midfield though.

Still can’t believe Wata defended that corner standing on either a broken leg or damaged ligaments. What a warrior.

let's see how the next few matches go. but there are plenty of matches where they look disinterested, slow on ball recovery and standing around waiting for someone else to do something.

Yeah, midfield and wide forwards were an issue. It's difficult to feel positive about things even after a win when we don't really know from one game to the next how we'll play. But we concede too much through the middle of the pitch and are not a threat from wide areas.
