Post Match EPL Sunderland (H) 1-1 Wednesday 3rd Dec - 20:15

The crowd were up for it, the players (latterly) tried their best I suppose... just not good enough.

I didn't like how we were set up to begin with - no width.

As inconsistent as Jones can be, he should be preferred to Macca, who I'm really sick of watching this season.

Isak, anonymous and shit. Play Ekitike.

we lack pace,
when is pingpong back?
Salah has lost his mojo
Desperation kicked in towards the end
Players too lightweight / honest
Sunderland bunch of fkin divers

Shite
Wasted 60 minutes. No patterns of play. No drive.

Tactically We're fucking woeful
This, this and fucking this. We were promised the Dutch master, but tactically we seem terrified until there's utter panic mode in the last 10 minutes when we throw every attacker on the bench on the pitch. Isak is a '125' million footballer apparently

Players seem like strangers. I'm guessing dressing room relations are shite as well, judging by body language.

Defensively much better. Going forward, we are living for corners.
Where we defensively much better? Konate seems in brain fart mode for every 2 out of 3 games and this was one of them, he misjudged everything.

Why do we play the first half of all our games so slow and then try to gather pace and rhythm after going a goal down .

We don't. We attempt to play the whole time. We are more attacking when we have more attackers on the pitch. If we did it from the beginning that way we'd lose 7-3 every game. There's nothing wrong with boring out a first half. There's everything wrong with not being able to ratchet up pressure without throwing on the kitchen sink.

If we were flying then that would that performance would just be seen as an off day, but in this context there's no signs we've built on the West Ham performance, there's no signs we have any confidence throughout the team.

We kept that ball better then some weeks, especially in the second half, and the players were determined to win it in the last 15 minutes. The problem was the desire and drive in the first 75. We're just going through the motions until the board realise we won't make the top 5 before sacking him.

I said it in the match thread, but that was fucking cowardice tactically. It smacked of, "if I lose this, I'll get sacked."

Hopefully, when he inevitably shits the bed again against Leeds and Inter, the board do what's necessary

I think it’s more about intensity and speed with which we move the ball and run off it.

It’s all very slow and pedestrian….it was last season too for large parts in the first halves.

There was a ten second passage of play where Macca lost the ball then jogged after it, they played it long and Konate had a brain fart, then it got cleared to Salah who miscontrolled.

Our season in ten seconds…

Its like salah knows he cant beat the opponent with speed or strength or trickery anymore. And hes not got Diaz on the back post anymore
