Yeah I thought he looked iffy, but still streets ahead for gyokeres. Were they seskos first minutes for united as well?
Gyokeres was the one I hoped the Arse would go for, as I reckon they may be our closest challengers yet again. No Prem club went in for him during his time at Coventry and that can't be a coincidence.
As for Sesko, yes, I think it was his first start. Admittedly he wasn't too impressive, but it's easy to forget how young he is and IMO he has a very high ceiling indeed. For him a lot will depend on how well they can knit that front three together.

I mean, it's not exactly fair to compare all the new strikers to each other. All new to the league, or making a massive step up in level.
Of course, I'm not including Ekitike in all this, as he's just a fucking beast and it was the most obvious thing in the world he would be.

Nah, not for me. The rule is that the arm should be in an unnatural position or that you use it to extend the body making it bigger. His arm was close to his body all the way.
Very harsh for me, and at this point nobody understands the rules. I was, along with the commentators expecting VAR to advise the ref to look at it. But it’s Everton so fuck cares anyway.
