F1 no refueling next season

Its going to be crackers.
At the moment they need 1 or 2 stops, to cover race distance. So they're going to need about 160-170kg's of fuel. Consider a dry car has to weigh 600kg, so forcing them to carry 25% extra will mess everything about, tyre wear, brakes etc.
They did it in '94, but can't remember if it actually worked as a rule.
Oh, they're also allowing 2 extra teams (4 cars, to make upto 26) and limiting the budget's to $40m. When some teams are spending around $160m at the moment (Oooops Ferrari/Mac's).

Just working it out, a current engine will do 3.6miles(ish) to the gallon(1.4km's to the Litre). Its not that bad, and probably wont take much to increase the MPG, without comprimising performance.
I can't see this working, but it's a move to make KERS must for all the teams, 6 seconds of (slightly more) fuel efficient racing per lap.

Things do need to change, it needs to go back to the days were the best designed cars win, but that means giving the designers more freedom, something they are looking at in 2010.

I do like F1 but the constant rule changes really mess up the sport.

HOW REGULATIONS WORK
::: Engines - No rev limit for capped teams who will also be allowed to use more than eight per season; uncapped will have to operate at a maximum of 18,000rpm and remain restricted to no more than eight.
::: Gearbox - Currently each driver may use no more than one gearbox for four consecutive races. That will not apply to the capped teams.
::: Bodywork - Capped teams will be allowed movable front and rear wings; uncapped will have front wing only.
::: KERS - Capped cars will be allowed double the boost from the system that stores energy under braking, which will be worth around 13.5 seconds per lap, compared to 6.7s for uncapped cars.
::: Testing - Capped cars will be allowed unlimited out-of-season track testing; uncapped will continue to be limited to 15,000km.
::: Wind tunnel - Unlimited use of a full-scale facility for uncapped teams; capped teams are limited to a 60% of full-size model and at a speed not exceeding 50 metres per second.
In addition, the FIA have also confirmed from 2010 there will be a ban on refuelling during a race and on the use of tyre warmers for all teams.

That wind tunnel rule's stupid. Most teams have one, and now can't use them to full potential because most are going to go for the budget.

I dont know what the fuck it's all about. They're gonna have a right game with cold tyres. Good old Bernie will have to abandon this one after 5 deaths in the first corner of the first wet race of next season the dopey twat.

I know, it's going to be horrific on a green track like Melbourne or Monaco.
To be fair, they will have the parade lap at the start to warm them. It'll be straight out of the pits, and into the first corner barrier that be the one to watch as they'll still have to change tyres.
