I also met her in acadia park in maine. We sat atop a rocky mount looking out across the Atlantic. She said "wow."
I said, "yeah, it's incredible here."
She said, "that's a really big lake."
It was then that I realized the whole thing had run it's course. This girl was beneath me. Just kidding, I was a young nerd and I drove up and down the Atlantic seaboard a couple times to meet her because her genetic gifts lay elsewhere.
