Pope is qualitee. Don't get me wrong, I'd have Oblak any day, but Pope is ridiculously better than what we have. He'd be like an Andy Robertson signing in nets.
You know me...I dont want us to spend more than 2 quid on a goalie but at 18M...why is he so cheap especially as he is international class ? Has he got bad knee or hand or something we will discover in the medical ?
He's cheap because he's been toddling along, loan after loan until he got his chance with Burnley. He has a better shot to save ratio than any keeper in the PL bar De Gea. He's better than De Gea in high claims in the box. Yes, no doubt he's been blessed sitting behind a defensive team, but he's still got terrific attributes for a keeper. I'd have him ahead of Allison.

I'm very tempted to set up a campsite on this one. It might be lonely, but at least that means I'd get in lots of wanking time.
I'd stay well away from Pope. For the time being at least. One season in the top flight in his career at, what, 26? Wouldn't have even got a game if Heaton weren't injured, so he can't have been that highly-rated. When he did play, it was behind an organised Burnley side that gave away very few opportunities. Nah, all the ingredients for disaster for me.
As for the Karius/Leno debate, it's OBVIOUS that Leno can't be worse than Karius since Karius is a lettuce-wristed scoper.

Having said all of that, just watched the first 5 minutes of this and it's impressive. You'd only need 30 seconds to show the truly great saves Karius has made over the past 2 years with us, I'm only halfway through this video and he's already streets ahead of Loris. Not hard, like.

You haven't been to one of our player campsites Insig, have you? It's burnt sausages and latrine ditches. Oh, it starts off with beer, drugs, music, and jollity. But it ends with scavenging parties raiding bins for picnic leftovers. That's what I'm signing up for.
