I didn’t see him bar the goal and the time he jumped over the ball in all honesty.
He pressed well dropped back a few times to link up play. And, did what he was supposed to do - scored his only chance on goal.
Agreed. Was overall not impressed, his first touch let him down over and over. Did well to recover his mistake to set up final goal.
He’s missed a lot of football the past few seasons and it shows.
Needs another season on loan and be a starter, and then see I reckon. His close control and awareness just isn’t good enough now.
Tbh I don't know if loans are the answer now. He needs minutes in our system and developing a rapport with Bradley, frimmers and wirtz.

We can see how rest of preseason goes, as it is a little unfair to judge after 4 days. But, if there is not massive improvement, Slot will not play him, even if in the squad.
Any idea that Slot is going to afford him sufficient time and minutes is fanciful, especially when we have Frimpong who can likely so a job with Bradley behind him. If Doak stays then he'll be Quansahed/ Mortened. Ideally

True. There was also a couple of occasions he failed to read the passage of play. I think Robbo played a very nice long ball to him and he took too long to realise the ball was coming to him.
He needs more minutes than that. Ultimately don't think he'll make it here so let's help him develop and get a good fee next summer.
Depends what we expect from him. If we think he can make an impression here this season then I'm happy for him to stay. We're not exactly tripping over backups for mo
We don't seem to think Mo needs backups. With Frimpong able to cover that side, even with AFCON I don't think Doak would get enough playing time.
He may or may not be good enough to play for us. But he'll never develop into the quality of player who can, paradoxically enough, if he stays here.
