Florian and the (Slot) Machine

Why waste time going down roads that only lead to no where? We've done this with BellEndingham , Zubellendi, Tchewmybellendani and lots of others who choose them over us?
Also €150m what the fuck for? Yes he is good, but thats almost our entire transfer budget. I genuinely hope we don't get him

We made contact.

Basically asked them how much he would cost.

And after they said "100 and..."

.. we left the call.

At best this is just to drive up the cost for City, and perhaps be a smokescreen for the more realistic signing of Xavi Simmons who has the Dutch connection and is looking to come to the PL.

I might actually prefer Simons anyway. Wirtz feels like a City signing. Simons feels like a Liverpool one.

Depends on the price.
Xavi S < Wirtz < Musiala
You're probably right in terms of ability.

But in terms of adaptability to the PL with us, I think it's like Musiala > Xavi S > Wirtz.

But heh, let's be honest, price wise, even if Wirtz was a better fit, we're not in for him for what he'd cost. He's beyond our bracket and not a priority signing for his cost.

Its all agent pushing Bayern to pay up. Leverkusen have said he can leave if their valuation is met. Bayern pushing for a home player discount as they usually do.

Only chance we have is if Bayern don't stump up the desired fee.

I imagine Bayern will meet in the middle of the current difference and player will push it through.

Liverpool are not working on a deal to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen at the moment. They did not meet the player in England yesterday. He is a player they have been aware of for some time and in the event of there being any prospect of him wanting to move to England they would be interested. As things stand the indications appear to be that he wants to remain in Germany – whether by staying at Bayer Leverkusen or moving to Bayern Munich. Liverpool will continue to monitor the situation.

Back to form. We are the best at monitoring players. In this case I am not upset

Monitor (verb): observe, watch, track, check, inspect, oversee, supervise, examine, audit, assess, scrutinise, review, survey, follow

But which type of monitoring are we doing this time?

Like how we've just said to his agent "he's good ain't he? Be nice if we could get him. 150m? ......yeah we'll be in touch"

*Deletes agents number*
