Florian and the (Slot) Machine

He’s improving and adapting to the league at a good rate.

Big exam will be the Arsenal game. With Ekitike, Wirtz, Szob & Jones all in form i think we could put in a statement performance there.

Love this positivity. With these kind of players, in this kind of form we absolutely should be able to put in a statement performance. (Hope you haven't put the mockers on them and they stay fit)

Unfortunately i don't think it'll be the kind of statement we hoped we'd be making halfway through our title defence...

But back to your positivity. It's beautiful what these guys can pull off, so let's hope Arsenal or even Leeds is the day we start to show it for 90, and we get defensively more solid - for the full 90. Needs Slot and the coaching team to give them the structure and instructions to unlock it though.

Wirtz got his first MoM points in late October and was still on 2 points on Nov 5. He’s on the brink of jumping to third on the list and our results have mirrored his climb up the table.

He seems to be steadily progressing with almost every match. It that continues, he really could lead us to great things in coming years.

His fitness still needs to improve to still be sharp after 70 minutes, but it is worth noting that he still is always in top 3 distance covered and number of sprints, even when he comes off early. So, he does as much in 70 minutes as others, including the likes of Szobo, over 90 minutes.
