Spare a thought for the likes of Defour and Jovetic, players consigned to the SCM rumour mill scrap heap. There have been a number of players over the last 12 months or so that have been advocated and / or linked quite heavily only to have fallen off the radar quite dramatically.

Have they had poor seasons? Headed elsewhere? Priorities changed?

I'd try and find a relevant thread from a year ago with some more names, but I'm too lazy.

He is their captain. This was a bad season for Galatasaray, they finished 8th (probably all Insua's fault 😉). Turan scored 8 goals in all competitions with 5 assists.
