Goals Goals Goals (Prediction Game)

Took part in a great prediction game last season and thought I would float the idea here.

Rules are pretty simple (Lucky for me eh)

1. Each game week of the season you pick a player and for every goal they score for that game you receive 1 point
2. You cannot pick the same player twice
3. You get one double your points round where when selected you will receive double points for each goal scored that week.
4. The winner is the person with the highest number of points in the season.
5. Ties are decided on the most 1 goal selections.

If people want to play I'll put a spreadsheet together and track for the season.

Just wondering could we make it a possibility to go a fiver a man? Is there a way to set such a thing up with pay pal? It would just make it more interesting. And depending on numbers, maybe we could have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize?

Obviously if some people are against the idea, then forget about it, as I wouldn't like to lose potential players. Just an idea.

Happy to do a money one but obviously dependent on people paying up before it starts.

Let's see if we get decent interest first.

The one I played in was for money and it still good because it's really fucking hard to build up a big lead of fall far behind. Picking a player that scores a brace or a hat trick can get you right back in it if you are lagging behind

Let's say there are 50 guys purring in 5 each. 250 pounds to be won. And you expect one of the others to remind you to bother to pick your player, so you might beat the guy to the 250 pounds.....? Sure I will remind you. Every monday I'll remind you that you should have picked a player the previous friday!!!
