Who are Liverpool players who were good for us but then became great and even better after they left us?
I’d say Neco Williams is pretty good now, but maybe not great? Emre Can’s post Liverpool career has been pretty good too

I can only think of four players who left and continued to be great:
Suarez, Mascherano, Alonso and Keegan.

I can only think of two players who left and became better: Raheem and Sterling.

Neco Williams is in the Steve Staunton category imo. Became a decent EPL player. There are too many to mention in this category.

Kenny Dalglish, kinda. We had him on trial as a 15-year-old but he got homesick and went back to Glesga.

Solanke? Turned us a good profit twice but seemed to have disappeared at Spurs. Neco W, Wilson, that striker at Forest but they are mostly average. I don't remember many that left us and did better than us in the last 10 years.

Alonso is the one of those that I actually thought got better and better after he left. Suarez and Keegan were already at peak.

Not quite sure if Masher continued to get better. He probably became a better passer in Spain, which was a limitation of his here.
