What isn't in that clip is Trent giving him shit for a sloppy pass towards the end. They're a good bunch, I don't think any are scared to speak up.

Wonderful to be able to hear the communication, and as 6times say, no wonder we lack a little without him.

I wonder how much he'd be able to do this in a full house? Or I should say how much he'd be heard.

Anybody got any insight into how difficult it is to communicate for the players (usually)?

Jimmy boy at right back against Leicester.

Hendo off...leaves Rice on and brings on Winks...probably picked up a knock.Nobody passed to him anyway. Typical Southgate..he's the only one who knows what the feck England were trying to do. No surprise he didn't qualify.

Grealish did well, but should've been in midfield with Mount. Foden,Calvert-Lewin,Kane up front. Hendo holding.Needed to win and Southgate plays Rice and Hendo in midfield. Rice has scored 3 in his career. And then Southgate brings on Winks who hasn't scored this season and only gets the odd start with Spurs.

He swapped Henderson for Harry Winks at half-time in the search for greater penetration and England continued to press on the front foot.

This line from the guardian match report makes me think it’s Southgate genius, not injury.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has been released from the England squad and returned to the club for further assessment.

The midfielder was withdrawn at half-time of the Three Lions’ clash with Belgium on Sunday night after feeling “a bit of tightness” according to Gareth Southgate.

On Monday evening, the Football Association confirmed Henderson will therefore sit out Wednesday’s UEFA Nations League meeting with Iceland.

Can't work out if that's good because he doesn't have to play another bloody ingurland match, or bad because it means he's got a real injury
