Cue hysteria over at Bluemoon and how they link these Betting activities with the 'Corruption' previously going on at Liverpool regarding 'hacking' their computers

Sturridge's contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor has been terminated by mutual agreement
Ex-Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been banned from football for four months for breaching betting rules.
He was originally given a six-week ban last summer, four of them suspended, but the FA appealed against the findings of an independent commission.
An appeal board also doubled the 30-year-old's fine to £150,000.
It was announced on Monday that Sturridge's contract with Turkish side Trabzonspor had been terminated by mutual agreement.
Sturridge had faced various charges alleging he passed on inside information over a potential transfer in January 2018.
A statement from the FA said the appeal board had ruled the commission "misapplied rules in relation to the use of inside information and made findings of fact which could not be sustained".
As a result, the board found proven two further charges that had originally been dismissed.
Liverpool announced in June 2019 that Sturridge - who scored eight times in 26 appearances for England - would be leaving the club that summer at the end of his contract.
He went on to score seven goals in 16 appearances for six-time Turkish champions Trabzonspor.
The former Manchester City and Chelsea forward's most recent England appearance came as a substitute in a World Cup qualifier against Lithuania in October 2017.
Sturridge has been suspended from all football and football-related activity until the end of 17 June.
The commission found he had instructed his brother Leon to bet on a possible move to Spanish side Sevilla, and that he had given him inside information during the January 2018 transfer window.
Strurridge said the FA's case was "overblown and misconceived" and that he gave an innocent explanation for text messages to his brother.
Submissions on his behalf said he did not have the the type of personality that is drawn to adrenaline or the risk of wrongdoing, and had no real interest in gambling.

The question remains though was this a fair punishment?

Studge argues he told his family in confidence about a potential offer, its not his fault then a connection to the family then decided to attempt to place bets on the move.. Why cant he be able to discuss these things without being penalised ?? At the end of the day its a life changing decision for all involved..

Like any individual if you are offered a new job, you would want to discuss this with all involved and close to you..

However if he told his family, place a bet I'm moving to Seville rather than I'm considering a Seville offer then he deserves everything he gets..

Something not quite right with this judgement..

Given how the media and agents can manipulate each other thus seeing odds soar without repercussions to them..

Sky are the best at it.. publish fake news, which then sees heightened activity on Sky Bet and odds slashed..

Has he done anything wrong? In my own opinion, he hasn't. I feel there's a difference between trying to throw a game and cheat the fans, and trying to swindle the bookies out of some money.
Grobelaar was taking money to throw games, sturridge was trying to get his family to put bets on his next club, to either make him or them money.
Sturridge isn't robin hood, and he's an absolute dickhead as he's already a millionaire, but as far as crimes go...

To put it in perspective, the owner of the bookies bet365 gave herself a bonus of £323 million last year, and takes the similar out most years. Whilst there's people in the country in poverty. But the FA are moaning that Sturridge could have made himself a nice tidy little profit at people like hers expense? Not got a problem with it myself. If it was match fixing on the other hand, they should ban the cunt for life.

It's the same old rules, if you try and swindle money - you're right in the shit. Tax man, bookies, rob a bank and don't physically hurt anyone, same thing. Whereas if you beat up a pensioner you get get what? This cunt got 16months of which he'll serve 8. Can you imagine what he'd got if he'd have try to do the taxman or rob a bank?

I suppose it depends how he phrased the message to his brother. Betting on a player's next club is stupid. It's exactly the kind of thing that's open to insider betting.

It's the equivalent of insider trading, and that's why it's obviously wrong and requires punishment.

Which is obvious, unless you're fucking retarded.

Trying to swindle a company, whose owner pays itself a £325mill bonus, out of a couple of grand. Arsed.
