I've just found out today that I never changed the registered keeper of my car from my mum to me, despite being sure I had done, I've been paying the tax and such on it for years, so I'm somewhat confused that that's the case, but the document says her name.
The questions I have is, how exactly do I change the name and address to me? I don't really need to change it, but I'm worried it might cause issues with insurance and other weird stuff. Can I do it online, or do I need to see my mum and get us both to fill in the v5 form together?
Secondly, during this process, am I going to be unable to drive my car, because the tax gets cancelled doesn't it? What is the minimal fuss, me and my girlfriend can keep using the car without worry approach to doing this?
