He was widely considered a flop who would never be good enough, but on this evidence Liverpool might have misjudged striker Iago Aspas.
The Spanish forward had become a bit of a laughing stock on Merseyside but joined Sevilla in the summer to save his reputation.
It’s already proving to be a successful switch, with Aspas showing his quality with this stunning hat-trick last night. It was seriously good stuff.
It all started with total worldy after having a shot blocked…

Seriously pleased for the lad ... always worked hard and supported the club but just didn't cut it in the PL (playing wide right didn't help I'm sure) but La Liga just seems to be tailor-made for him. He also got a goal away in Europe midweek.
