Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas could leave in January, with Arsenal and Liverpool showing an interest.
According to the Spanish press, Casillas is growing increasingly frustrated at the Bernabeu under boss Carlo Ancelotti.
The 33-year-old was confined to the bench for Real's latest Champions League clash at Basel, replaced by summer signing Keylor Navas in the 1-0 triumph.
And Casillas is reportedly worried he could lose his first-choice status yet again, leading to speculation he's looking for a way out in the winter window.Ancelotti handed the Spaniard just one La Liga appearance last term, favouring Diego Lopez, who has since left for AC Milan.
Casillas' situation at the Spanish capital has put long-term suitors Arsenal and Liverpool on red alert, with the Premier League pair preparing £4m bids for when the market reopens in January.
However, the news comes as a concern to Manchester United, with Madrid likely to step up their interest in David De Gea if Casillas leaves the Bernabeu

We should be all over this.. Yes he is not the player he was, but he certainly know how to command is area..
And the fact they could look to coup De Gea would be a Brucie Bonus...

Please be true! Imagine if us buying Casillas prompted De Gea to leave United - massive win win.

Has he really fallen from grace that much? He's a confident and experienced goalkeeper - if we were buying someone for 6-18 months would he really be a bad choice?

Massive wages and on the decline. Still a good goalkeeper but I'd rather go for Cech if possible.

What Stevie said. Cech is still one of the best keepers in the world and could still be very good for the next 3-4 years.

I think this is bad news in two ways, firstly hes no longer top class and hasnt been for a couple of seasons now but hes a massive name and would demand big money to move to Liverpool. Secondly if as speculated Tywin Lannister style this makes Madrid move for DeGea and weakens Utd what do people think will happen, that they will just give up? Look at the money theyve been spending recently, they will end up getting a massive wedge for DeGea and then be in the market for another top quality young keeper, which is exactly what we should be looking for rather than a short term fix, so they will probably pick up somebody like Ter Stegen that we should be going after
