So was travelling home from Washington on Friday afternoon to get home. I was so lucky every leg of the journey - literally. Was on the last flight out of Dulles before they all got cancelled. I was on the last flight out of Heathrow - by the time I'd landed at Manchester all flights in and out of Heathrow had been cancelled. Managed to persuade a cabbie to take me home from Manchester as well by paying him an extra £30. Had to walk last 400m or so but fuck it I'm home. Got loads of colleagues stuck in the US desparate to get home to their homes and families, some stuck in Frankfurt etc.. it's a nightmare. Really feeling for them all.
