Is it me or is the site very slow today? (Monday15th August 11.00am)

I think there were some network issues today. I couldn't access the site from work at all...
 
Just in case it's not clear, I'm not complaining when I post in this forum, it's just to let you know, in case it can help with your obviously fantastic work on this site.

anything like this is useful to know gents. Not much time to do much about it at the moment but hopefully will have some time to make further improvements soon
 
There's a load of tuning I need to do on the back end technologies but it's going to take some reading up first. We'll get it shifting soon lads.
 
Site loading extremely slowly for me again this evening.

EDIT: Seems to have righted itself now (unless that's due to Sunny doing his thang).
 
Something is thrashing the site CPU intermittently causing the slowdown. Not sure what it is at the moment. I'm going to disable Tapatalk for a couple of days just to take it out of the equation.
 
I have noticed a few slowdowns too over the last few months.

I dont think tapatalk will be the problem, as it only pulls sql database information in smaller chunks than the site itself. I wrekon it could be the all page function in long threads. Can be known to cause server load issues if many people are using the function with many users on the site as this function pulls data from the SQL database in large chunks. Bare in mind we will be having a few users including guests rapidly pressing f5 on all page function for thread updates, which wont help matters either.
 
i've not noticed any kind of slowdown though since I removed Tapatalk...I will re-enable it early next week and see what performance does
 
Sometimes, well most of the time, I keep getting 'page not found' or if it does connect it can take over 30 seconds just to get there?

To test my internet isn't fucked I can open a tab and load other pages in less than half a second, whats up ?
 
Very very slow for me today since about 11pm last night.
The site even went off line to me for about five minutes earlier today.
Anyone else?

It was a for your information post and not a complaining one by the way.
 
Having murders with out hosts at the moment. Soon to be ex-hosts. Now it's all the hassles of moving the site again and getting refunds etc..

It's up and down all day, and yesterday, comes back for a few minutes then goes again.
