Kerem Demirbay would make a lot of sense, it seems – an AM or CM playmaker is what we currently miss the most without Ox and with Keita still adjusting. Out of all the January links that seems to me the most plausible one. I'm sure Klopp would also love Pulisic or Ousmane Dembele, but that won't happen in January.

Dembele is notorious for turning up late for training, according to both Barca and France. Given how Klopp reacted to Sakho's misdemeanours, I can't see him being interested in a player like that.
Yeah, I've read the articles too... but in terms of value he's in a different bracket to Sakho and still young.
A loan would be a good opportunity to evaluate whether it's possible to get through to him.

Love strikers who know how to play with their back to the goal and bring teammates in – an under-appreciated quality nowadays, but so important to making the attack "click." Obviously he has a box of tricks and knows a thing or two about scoring as well. Only 20 years old, on loan from Benfica. This is an exciting link.

Before any other position we need to buy a forward who can bench Firmino or compete with Firmino on equal footing. Sturridge, Orrigi, Solanki etc are not that player.
If he is on loan can you trigger a release clause? The worry is, do we know he is not aone season wonder?After all he is on loan because he did not make the grade at parent club.
Much as i would like us to buy an AM like Hakim, i would however like to see shaq take that role and let Kieta and Fabinho adjust to the PL without adding further competition for places
