Need another DM would be my priority, followed by a LB. But if we only had money for one it would be a DM for me.

I’m still going for a forward because I can’t trust Nunez and Jota. Watching Nunez last night made it look like we were playing with 10 men.

We do have Endo who some dislike and some love (me included). He should be utilised more to ease the burden on Gravenberch.

We have Robbo, Tsimikas and Gomez for LB so that is a summer problem.

Realistically? A DM.
But in all honesty, I would like a 5th CB as well. I wish we had a Matip type in the squad.
I'd be more confident if we signed a 30+ year old CB on an expiring contract, a Gary McAllister type signing.
Like if Tarkowski suddenly was available (sorry).

It's not that I don't rate Gomez, it's just I'm so afraid that we're one injury away from chaos in that position.

Poor Jayden...

Who is voting for a fwd? we have 6. We have scored the most goals in the league. Nunez might miss a shit load but he isn't being sold in Jan and does create havoc for the opposition

Backup for gravy, replacement for Jota and Nunez. A LB would be nice but it's not 100% essential for now

The 2 strikers are either shite or a tampon; we need someone

Bringing in Jorrel Hato now would make sense. LB but can play CB if needed.

My ideal would be another Gomez who can play across the backline. A fifth CB feels overkill (and I trust Quansah, if needs be). 3 left or 3 right backs seem overkill. Again Gomez covers all, but can get injured. And, two injuries at CB (not uncommon) gets really uncomfortable.

Hato may be closest to that from the names that I have seen, although left-sided.

Speaking of Nunez, I wonder if the club are quietly exploring an option of sending him on loan somewhere in January - the best time to sell him is surely in the summer, but we would be in a much stronger negotiating position if he could play somewhere where he fits, score some goals and recover his confidence in the 6 months leading up to Summer. A team playing 2 up top and counter-attacking football would be ideal.

I think there is still a chance that his current form is the nadir and even here at Liverpool he can have a better 2nd half of the season and increase his value. I guess everything depends on how Slot evaluates his prospects and whether we can bring in a replacement in January. If the Olmo deal could materialize, I would ship Nunez to Atalanta in a heartbeat.

I do think Nunez could do with a change of scenery. If he could perform somewhere like he does for his country, we might get decent value for him. With his confidence where it is now, I really doubt that can happen here.

@Modo - did you mention about that guy named Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth the other day ?

He is like 6ft5 !!!! - is he quick ?
