Not being able to get more out of players, or to break the youth pathway is also a problem, but we will see.

If the fee really is 30 million +, for a promising English CB with an insane amount of game time for his age and stage of development, it's not very good business, it's just business.

I don’t rate Quansah based on what I’ve seen but I get what Fark is saying. German clubs have been quite successful mining English talent in recent years and on paper he ticks a lot of boxes.

The reality is that even if he has got “it”, we can’t currently afford to take the time to develop him. He looked miles off and season and needs regular game time… unless someone thinks he’s got break out season potential.

I don’t think a loan is gonna cut it - the club needs to be invested in his development. This is a deal that probably works out well for all parties.

Ok, I remember him having an excellent season, in a really testing environment, at 21. That's super unusual for that age in that position.

30 million is the least I'd expect for him given that and the English tax. Obviously his value isnt going to increase under Slot so a sale makes sense in that context, but I don't see how he "never excelled."

His stats for his age make him best in class. I don't know anything about this but I want to believe he's going because he organising orgies via Instagram rather than he's not capable of being good enough, because he absolutely is.
