Job security - arne

Only the second manager to give us a title in 35 years. Ya let’s fuck him off. FFS. Also I’m not buying this he just played Klopps style. Don’t forget Klopp was done by the end and we thought a total rebuild was needed. Slot deserves immense credit for how’s he come in and done what he’s done, but nah let’s throw him to Wolves at his first serious poor run.
Since you keep going on about winning the league, would relegation be a sackable offence? ( I'm just testing your boundaries here)

I discovered my coworker dead following a stroke. He had been dying for three days on his living room floor before he was found. This was when we had been a team together for years. I still had to go to work and do a job.

Robbo can’t be number one choice because he can’t play twice a week.

Yes! Salah has physically dropped. The same argument we have had for three years. He has been indulged and judged on spreadsheets rather than actually watching him play football.
Thats horrendous and anybody judges your work output after that deserves firing themselves. Sorry you had to go through that 🙁

But someone dying of natural causes is still very different to what happened to Jota.

Salahs been judged on produces decisive moments that win games and tiles and he’s done it better than anyone for a decade including last season.

I’ve already said if he’s in the bottom 5 after Xmas then of course that’s a different story. But fuck me it’s 9 games in and everyone is losing their minds.

One thing I really hate about Slot is how he's alienating certain players. His treatment of Chiesa and Endo is well documented.
But I'm starting to wonder what's going on with Bajcetic now.

He's got no man motiviational skills whatsoever and he has no desire to improve players he doesn't think are up to it (which also happens to be part of his fucking job by the way). One little thing to upset him and the "trust" is seemingly lost forever.

Happened with Quansah (after Ipswich)
Happened with Harvey (after Accrington)
Happened with Chiesa (after Plymouth)
Happened with Endo (after he looked at him)
Happened with Nunez (after he scored and won a pen against Soton)
Happened with Frimpong (after outrageously blaming him for the Palace winner)
Happened with Rio (after Soton)

No desire to integrate any of the youth, Morton Clark Doak Sepp all fucked off the first chance he got. Danns won't get a look in, Nyoni's not had a look in.

& you need to forget about Bajcetic, he's not going to come back.

Virgil had said it best. They all need to look in the mirror including himself and he hopes the fans who celebrated in May with the team can back them now.
He shouldn’t even have to say it. FFS.

Other clubs meltdown threads would be having a field day in here.

I think you're right. The man is ruthless.
Ngumoha could be next in line for the ice box now.

It’s not 9 games though is it? It’s 9 months.

We didn’t turn up in a cup final
We lost to a side who are now 22nd in league 1.
These were warning signs.

We were then totally outclassed in the CL.
We then fumbled wins at Goodison and Villa park, we were made to look like amateurs at Fulham.
We didn’t win a single of our 4 games in May.
These were ominous signs.

That’s another 11 games….
So when you’re quick to say “oh, it’s only 9 games”, well no it’s fucking not.

How is it different? A man minding his own business, collapsed, no way to call for help slowly dying compared to a man dying instantly by driving a car at speeds on roads not meant for these cars? Who has it worse?

I think you are forgetting all the big games we won in the second half of the season.
Lost at home to PSG. Lost at Wembley to Newcastle. Lost away to Fulham. Drew at Forest, Villa and Everton. Then barely won a game after we won it. Like I said elsewhere, that final leg now looks like unprofessionalism. We are a laughing stock.

I back the team. I'm done backing the douche picking the team. I just don't like him.

I've heard Slot blame individuals more in one season than Klopp did during his entire time at the club.
He's awful at man-management. I mean Rafa didn't really excel at this either, but I don't think it was this bad.

The worst thing about this season is that fucking Arsenal are looking like they're going to walk the league. Unless Guardiola can do anything about it.

Yeah that's a pretty big one, too. Honestly, you could dissect our tactics until the cows come home. It's just a mess all over. Every aspect of a tactical plan has gotten worse. Transition, attack, defence, pressing, cohesion, Identity, style etc etc. We've been found out, and Slot has to come up with something else. I'm not sure he has anything else...

I'm starting to think we won the league by default last year. There was nobody challenging, really. And once you get that fear factor and momentum, you win games before you've even kicked a ball. I think that also adds to everything I said in my longer post earlier, as well.

It's been accepted as a fact you don't win the league by being lucky or jamming it but we had a lot of things go our way - Salah's last hurrah, City imploding, Arsenal falling well off & the kind fixtures at the start of the season giving us momentum & confidence which was massive.

We were not good many games last season but we had players that were fighters & who knew how to get things done. I don't see many fighters now.

I can't see a thing that we're good at which is shocking.

Yeah, it's going to be unbearable watching that Spanish David Brent and his Lego head win the league playing Stokeball after spending a billion quid. That's before even mentioning all the autistic virgins that support them fellating themselves on the internet. Hopefully Skynet takes over before then, or Putin finally pulls his finger out.

Yeah I don't think we were lucky as such. But the more time goes on, it looks like we benefited from the chips falling as they did. Once we had that bit of momentum, we ran with it and nobody put up a fight. I think that will be the case this year with Arsenal. They'll win it comfortably despite not being anything special. They'll win it by virtue of being the least retarded.

I think this analysis by David Lynch is reasonable. We’re playing lots of evenly balanced games with very little control and at the moment the luck is not on our side, whereas in the first 5 games of the season it was. The larger issue is that the league’s playing style shifted towards what Arsenal is doing and we went in the other direction in the summer.

It's a very convenient excuse. Everyone else is playing differently and we can't cope? And who's fault is that?

Wow! That's uncanny! Even down to the Martinez reference. If I didn't have the alibi of not logging on for a year, you could do me for plagiarism!

Fair play. And you were onto it early.

Also, pointed out the fact that we seem to get worse, the more time players spend with him in the post Man U defeat.

Read @dmishra's excellent post earlier in this thread. By no means am I excusing our defenders, but we are making life difficult for them by putting them increasingly in uncomfortable situations. Anyway, after every performance, it appears there are 10 things wrong. Depending on anyone's bias or what they watch, they are choosing to focus on a couple of aspects which annoy them the most - IMO, all of them are to a certain extent correct. We can blame Salah, fullbacks, Konate, MacAllister, Wirtz, and Gakpo - rearrange and pick your poison. When too many things are incorrect, often that is a sign of a lack of preparation, and that falls on the manager.

The more time he spends with the team, the worse the performance appears to get. Since around February, there seems to be a lack of cohesion in our play - the footballing identity is not clear.

I don't think I caught on to it early. I think most of us knew something was off since February. I just voiced my apprehensions earlier than most.

Endo is not going to help. He has had his chances and not been upto it and suspect long term. Chiesa too.
Elliot was not worth letting go for the money we got and way he was trreated, but then we probably had a full set back then too.

What chances did Chiesa get?

I don’t think it’s an excuse - it’s an observation. We may indeed lack physicality compared to rest of the league, but there are also issues with set pieces which may have to do with specific players or set piece coaches - time will tell.

He hasn't had much this season but at points last season he did, but then fobbed before PSG.
Honestly, do you think Endo and Chiesa are the reason we have lost 4 on the bounce? conceded 2 or more in 9 games this season already ?
Playing them two is akin to rearranging deck chairs in Titanic plus both have had fitness issues but Chiesa does seem to bit fit, he should play more but I don't see that improving the defending, lack of energy or the incoherent midfield.

The chips did fall our way but we absolutely deserved a bit of luck like that after being screwed over by those cheating manc bastards for years.
