And yet he said last night apparently when asked about his job he said he was safe and has a great relationship with the owners. Even Klopp said his job was in danger when we had those bad runs and they were never this bad. We shouldnt even be talking about if/when he's sacked.. He should be gone since after last night

I was chatting with one of the lads I used to go the match with in the 90s - we're planning our Budapest trip (that's blind optimism for you). Anyway he & the other lads are all still season ticket holders, so I was asking him what it was like in the ground yesterday. I also asked him does he hear much "Slot out" talk at the ground & he says he doesn't and he thinks most people want to give him time. He is in the main stand if that makes a difference. He puts the slot out stuff to social media madness.
I'm making no judgement (though, as I have said before, apart from Woy, I have never wanted a Liverpool manager sacked and that is still the case), but I'm interested in other peoples observations of the match going crowd. I know @MomoWASright was there last night and he has clearly deserted his army and is full on Slot out, and @Woland is a regular, who wants to eviscerate the man - so that's a 100% anti Slot position from a sample size of 2 on here, but then we know this forum is oddball and not exactly a perfect reflection of normal society.

I only watched the game intermittently last night (due to broadband issue) but in the time I did watch I think I only heard one Arne Slot chant. I suspect there’s a move toward apathy rather than revolt at the moment. The thing that’s changed so much in the last 20 years is the criticality of Champions League qualification. Year by year it’s become an ever increasing pressure for finance. You could “ride out” the odd year if you had a plan and an understood it was a “blip”. Now chances can’t be taken
Loads leaving with 20 minutes to play tells the story. Three times that’s happened this season, twice when I’ve been there. I didn’t hear any booing but the slot song wasn’t sang at all.
It was how many were leaving early. This was en masse. Huge sections of the stands were empty from 82.
When I used to go we all used to do the slow ‘one step every 10 seconds’ walk to the gate during time added on much to the stewards annoyance. No fucker left early
There were boos at the end from those who were left. All my mates are locals and a few go to the game. They all want him out now, I think.

BTW - I never left early in my day either. There was a couple of moaners behind us (Kemlyn) who always left 5-10 minutes before the end. At the end of the 89/90 season we were winning (against Norwich,, I think), but Villa, who were our closest challengers, were also winning and that was going to delay us winning the league. 5 minutes to go moaners up & left and no sooner had they gone than Villa's opponents scored and we won the league. I was almost happier for them missing it than I was for us winning it.
Again, I'll be treading over old ground with what I say here, but I think the sentiment of the fans says a lot. We've had worse teams performing poorly, but you could see the effort and a style and a plan in place. People will stick around and show support if all of that is there, regardless of results.
What we've got now, though, is none of that. There's no passion, no discernible plan, no style, no tactics, no confidence or indication that he has something in mind to stop the rot. The fans can pick up on that. That's why they're leaving in their droves. He's not capable of turning it around and most people can see that.

I agree, but I think that is the one thing Slot was very smart about. He did not try to compete with Klopp in the empathy, charisma, social connection, and messaging department. That is not in Slot's nature, but even if it were, the comparisons would have started, and he would have only lost.
