The league table doesn’t lie and this season domestically at least has turned into a transition year of epic proportions that none of us wanted but some worried about with so many ins and outs. Couple that with the injuries and fitness of some players and the time it’s taken some hefty priced players to bed in and it’s not surprising.
Well unlike you results do change my opinion.
Beating Arsenal home and away while on the run we are would be a huge boost to this set of players an most certainly give me more confidence we can beat anyone in the CL while most likely continuing to struggle domestically. Arsenal are up there with the best in Europe.
They were shite results and I said as much and I thought Slot was edging closer to the door. Since the Forest game he has done a lot right to get us back into 4th even if we lose today.
First step in preventing getting beat every week is making yourself hard to beat. He’s done that while the football by and large has been anything but entertaining. He know needs to balance that with more attacking impetus.

Agreed, as said in another thread. He seems such a different person. I thought he handled the media very well last season and pretty much always said the right thing. Now he seems to have lost all confidence and is just a shell of that person. Maybe he knows its coming to an end here.

For me it's on the manager, but I also think some players aren't playing for him/protecting themselves for the world cup.
If there was performances without results, I'd be more accepting. Results without performances aren't sustainable, as the season has proven.
I'm sure Slot is a nice enough fella, but going on the piss after winning the league never sat right. The summer us not building a squad, but rather the accumulation of good players is on the spreadsheet squad and has irritated me no end.
What should have been a strong chance to cement a dynasty, we've seen our arse very easily and left ourselves in the dust. Guadiola going will leave a vacuum, and we've allowed arsenal to position themselves in that slot

It's far easier to come across well when things are going well though. Very few do well when they're not.
