“I think it’s great for Calvin where he is at the moment,” Slot began.

“Half a year ago he came back to this club, to the U21s, and of course everyone who is playing for the U21s is hoping for a moment, for a chance.

“But it’s a big, big, big chance that he’s having now to come to the first team.

“So when someone is really unlucky with the injuries that we’re having there is always a player that benefits from that, and Calvin is one of them.

“He’s with us, but I still think I have better options to play.

“But the moment I run out of options he has shown, in the one game he played against Palace and the moments he trained with us, that he is good enough to be in and around our players.

“Then sometimes you have to wait for a chance to show this to the rest of the world.

“But in this moment of time I have, in my opinion, still better options than him.”

… and we’re half way through the transfer window already without bringing in defensive cover which is a bit fucking shit on Hughes and Edwards too

Slot is managing the team like it's Real Madrid. He's set the bar so high only 14-15 players are able to clear it.
I don't think he believes it's a squad game.
Both Rafa and Klopp had faith in the collective. That's the main difference imo.

For me the main difference is he won the title in his first season and they managed one in about 15 years between them. But obviously being a bit rude about some kid who'll never play for us is the really important issue here lol

He’s such a dreadful communicator.

He could have made this kid feel good and instead he’s made him feel shit. Nice work Arne

Comments like this make me realize he’s gonna be gone soon

I wonder how quick we will pull the trigger if performances continue to be the current bore fest and Alonso is still available? I'd rather have Enrique mind.

Yeah, Slot is fucking awful in his communication. I think that he's getting worse and worse. I think following Klopp's natural connection with whoever he was talking to and his humane sensitivity is hard to stomach. And hard to follow.

What’s Slot’s contract like? Halfway through? That’ll play in no doubt

It’s more about the impression he’s giving off to youngsters at the club, and maybe more importantly those that the club would want to scout.
And he would not have won a thing had he joined right after Rodgers. He won with a team assembled and trained by one of the top 3 managers in LFC history.

I've got no issue with criticising him if he's rude or whatever. I was on the side of those who thought he treated Quansah very badly in his very first match and openly mocked those defending him cos "he's Dutch".

What I find hilarious and pathetic is people trying to make out that it's a bigger deal than winning the league. Or downplaying winning the league as some aftershock of Klopp's management, in order to justify showing no patience or loyalty. If they can't be arsed showing patience and giving the benefit of the doubt etc, just say so. Don't dress it up in this fucking nonsense.

Are you loyal to Slot?

I think a lot of people feel they are showing patience. Our play has got progressively worse for an entire year, albeit weve had a very small bounce back up from an awful slump recently.

I feel we can be sympathetic and loyal to Slot, but ultimately it will result in wasted time and money by not having a management team in position that can take this group of players and make them the force they could be.

Danger of becoming a United....
