Here are the top Premier League managers ranked by their estimated win percentages across all matches played in the 2025 calendar year, combining the second half of the 2024/25 season and the first half of the 2025/26 season.

Had nothing better to do, so I went to check out when the squad left for Ibiza & Dubai 😅.

It was the week after our match against Arsenal at Anfield (2-2) on 11 May 2025. Upon returning, we lost 3-2 away to Brighton on 20 May 2025 (which was basically the 2nd last game of the season).

Including that defeat to Brighton, here’s how we’ve fared since those trips:

If that was the record, and we'd been playing a nice brand of football. I'm sure there would be some leeway.

Simply though we have been shite. Its solely the squad talent thats pulling us through.

The other thing is that slot himself indulges the hard luck story that is one possible way of looking at our constant inefficiency in attack and the oppositions ability to score from very few chances. You can't do that as a leader.
Cause he isn't a leader

Luckily we did not give him a five year contract - 18 month payout is not bad considering no transfer activity this month.

We would be wise to only give Xabi 3 years as well. Coaches do not work out at new clubs way too often regardless of their pedigree.

Are you sure it's Alonso, with his preference for 3 at the back, that you want in? I'm not sold on the idea personally.

I really want him to turn it around but I’m running out of patience now and I think the credit in the bank is on its last legs.

0.43 points per game since September 27th 🚨

I am not sure, but I also think Xabi is more flexible than just 3 at the back. I don’t mind 3 at the back, but we would need be buying a lot more defenders than we already desperately need, for sure.

The club need to act with regards to the manager, as well as equally doing something about the transfer market. I think Farky did a great set of posts regarding our transfer strategy in another thread and I couldn't agree more. Why are we waiting until crisis point before making changes on and off the pitch again?

This manager is going to have us miss out on Champions League football. Get rid of him now and give ourselves a chance.

He should be sacked regardless for surrendering the title to this fucking Arsenal side. This season should have been another cakewalk.

Even with a fucking awful season, had we just beaten the promoted sides and Forest at home - not exactly asking for much - we'd be second and 5 points off the top. Instead, we're scrapping around with Brentford and shocking United and Chelsea sides in the table, while shitting our kecks at home to Burnley and Sunderland et al.

Pointless me even typing this out though. Just as it's pointless hoping the fraud benches Gakpo.

This is why we shouldn't wait until the end of the season. What's the point?

Get someone in now and we can try to shape our squad now and prepare the business for the summer.

Imagine if everyone else below Villa weren't equally shite. We'd be about 11th. We still might be soon.

I thought he went 4 at the back. But even 3 at the back worked at times for Klopp who pushed our full backs high up or into the middle.
