This was the table just before the second leg against PSG -->

“I can understand the fans being frustrated on the back of that interview for the simple reason is they were 15 points clear. In my opinion they had the league wrapped up by that point.

To sort of say that helped them is a body blow for the fans really because the fans have been on the journey, they pay good money to follow the team in the UCL games.

The frustration and the emotion of going out of the UCL, for a player or a fan, it hurts. It kills you. To sort of say that went and helped you when you are already 15 points clear, you can understand the frustrations.”

Sadly that match against a pile of shite possibly bought that fraud another two PL matches to piss away.

That guy is like a nasty itch that won't go away.

To start talking shit about the results/trophies of your predecessor who is a legend at the club is so misguided. You see the true character of people most when they're under pressure. We've seen it with all our managers, including Klopp, who would attack everyone but never one of our own. This bald prick will use anything to score points, having no second thoughts on putting blame his co-workers, players, club or past legends. He's completely lost me now. Get out the club.

He's lost it completely. Hopefully he'll be out the door soon.

I think he either knows he is done or the pressure of uncertainty is getting to him, this last few press conferences are a different vibe, remembering part grievances with those in the press, advocating for himself clumsily, relitigating old questions, bemoaning being misunderstood.

I actually find it all gross. Others should have to twist in the wind if you are going to watch someone else do this.

One thing remains the same though, is the subtlety of his poor motivation. I came out of that press conference thinking, "yep, he's got it, that opposition werent that great and a very makeshift back line are going to have issues against Newcastle."

If we drop 5/6 pts off 5th then I think he could go unless we are still in the CL.

In reality a couple of wins in the league and we’ll most likely be back to 4th or 5th.

Definitely so unusual comments of late showing the pressure is getting to him.

If the hierarchy think he's staying.. why are they not giving him player(s) to ensure the club stays in the CL.

Why is Slot twerking about being in the CL last 16 whilst staring PL doom in the face? We are 3 points off being in the bottom half. The PL position is on a knife edge, we have lost 2 defenders in the window already.

We’re tracking well under 1.5 points per game on the PL, which will not be enough for Champions League football next season, even given the general shitness of the league. We have no real idea what FSG will consider sack worthy, but we do know they tend to be patient and usually want a substantial body of evidence before making a decision. More than most owners. I had hoped that, given the level of summer spending, any serious risk to Champions League qualification might prompt a decisive change. So far, that has not happened. Either they believe that, in the context of a huge intake of signings, ageing core players, the death of Jota and other mitigating factors, one transitional season is acceptable, or they genuinely think there is enough evidence to suggest improvement in the second half of the season.

So where does that improvement come from? If Ekitike and Wirtz stay fit and continue on an upward trajectory, that should add goals. Isak’s return might help to some extent, but I am personally unconvinced he has it in him to make a meaningful impact this year. Beyond that, we are probably relying on Salah improving his output in terms of goals and assists, even if the performances remain poor. That would still be an upgrade on what we have seen so far. Some of that may well happen. However, even if it does, I would argue it will all be undone by Slot’s management of the squad. We are heading towards January with most of the first team knackered, an increasingly heavy injury list, and a continued reluctance to rotate. How are these players meant to be fresh when we hit the decisive part of the season, when results really start to matter?
That is where the difference shows between managers who think about the big picture and those operating in a constant state of insecure self preservation.

Another point is we see we are routinely seeing that a good win the CL means absolutely fuck all to our performances in the PL. It makes us feel a little better in the short term, and brings in welcome revenue, but we should see them as almost different sports at this point. One is having no bearing on the other.

I don't understand why they aren't feeling urgent needs to deal with two things.

If they are fine with slot, or not, we absolutely need a defender. For this weekend. For a month from now. For a year from now. For three years from now. We even needed them a year ago.

We need them with slot. We need them without slot. We need them for any system.

Why the fuck are they doing this again?
