i feel like you displayed similar levels of optimism about guehi joining too. i’m not anywhere near as sure of alonso’s motivations though.
Not sure how it’s comparable. One gets 300k a week, a massive sign on fee and we don’t move for him.

yea we’ve gone through so many winnable matches and come out with a bad result, now we’re in a patch of trickier matches again and we’re fielding a side that is known to struggle. what do we think is going to happen here? in isolation a bad result against city - meh but it’s so much more than that and the manager doesn’t seem to know what to do.

Yep. Lose CL money & gate receipts, drop in transfer desire, wages become greater % of turnover. It is a risk. Not saying it’ll definitely happen but there are a lot of negatives to missing out.
