Can't believe O'Shea is 30. where does time go.
For what it's worth, i think he's a decent player, nothing fancy, but does a job and has played a massive part in United's big games over the years. In some games he excels and Fergie trusts him.
At 30 though, he'd want to be playing more regularly. It won't be at Liverpool, never happen but for a Newcastle/Everton/Sunderland/Villa, he would be a very good signing imo.

This sell to buy excuse is complete fucking nonsense. Fergie has had to do it since the Glazers took over and did it before then too, he still managed to buy good players every now and again and won the fucking league. Wenger has done it for a decade and never been out of the top four.
Kenny had to sell Torres and Babel to finance moves for Suarez and Carroll = improvement with no net spend. Or sell to buy as you call it. We'll sell to buy this summer too.
The difference between those three and Rafa is immeasurable. He's not half the manager you think he is, he's just a good coach who is able to pull the wool over peoples eyes.

It's also worth mentioning that in actively looking to sell players you often get stung in Golden Handshakes, giving the player a healthy wad of cash to pay up part of their remaining contract. Grrrrr....

Rafa isn't near as bad as Ross can make out at times, but he does have a fair point Vant, his record in the transfer market is too often papered over on here as him being a victim of tight spending. He was pretty instrumental in how things ended up, because if he'd spent well in the first place and capitalised on us being in a position of strength, we wouldn't have needed to constantly try to over spend (or find gems) to play catch up.
