Bensmith_Times:'The combined wages of Jole Cole and Milan Jovanovic come to about £1m per month.'

[move]Get the fuck out of here![/move]

That can't be right, can it?

I heard rumours of Cole being on £100k a week but what's Jova on?

Bosmans can fuck right off.

Appaz, Jova has his signing on fee pro rated over the first 12 months of his contract in addition to his 70k a week basic, so last year he was getting 120k a week from the club

What the fuck is are wage bill?

We've got rid of two of the best midfielders in the world and one of the greatest strikers around ( until fairly recently) and I bet its still disgustingly high given the mediocrity of a large portion of the squad.

Jova is one lucky guy, 70k a week doing nothing... or should I say doing Michael Owen's job.

The way jovanic has been totally jibbed must be an effort to force him to leave in light of his wages. He's surely good enough to have featured this season.
Correct. It will be pretty sad to see us try to claim a fee for the poor cunt.
I didnt mind him and he should have played more.

When he has featured though he's been garbage
Hes a striker who has been shoved at LM in a Roy Hodgson team.

Re: Re: Jova and Cole

He has but he never got a chance to play up top really. Plus he only every played intermittently. Can't expect a player to show their class when they play 1 time every 3 months

Scored 2 goals for us

You'd expect Kenny to give him more chance up top but he didn't. Two managers with different philosophies froze him out of the team. I wonder why...

yeah its a strange one with jova, i liked the look of him the first game to be honest, decent bit of pace and strength, i have no idea why we were putting eggnogg up front rather than jova. but that 'lonley starnger' stuff was hilarious, i had an image of him giving that interview with 'what becomes of the broken hearted' playing on a loop in the background
Kenny had 50m to spend on new strikers. HIS strikers. Im not suggesting Jova should play ahead of Kuyt, Carroll or Suarez but he DID get a rough ride.
And as was said hes twice the player N'shit is.

N'gog scored a few goals at the beginning of the season so that probably put him ahead of Jova in the pecking order. I agree that Jova is better player but who knows, he might have some attitude problems we're not aware of. Laziness in training sessions, perhaps...
And Carroll was out for quite some time due to injury. Why didn't Kenny give Jova more playing time...
Jova was injured too.

he's never been near the bench, mental, and i cant remember seeing him in many training pictures either for fuckin ages, i remember in one of the press conferences kenny said that he was back from injury and he could feature, and he was still nowhere to be seen

we're just making his stay here untenable. it's fucking absurd if he's on those wages.

Jovanovic has been horrendous in nearly every game he's played.
Whoever signed and scouted this useless lad deserves a beating.

Yup ... Considering how often the Belgian league is scouted nowadays due to the talent they've produced over the last 5 years, I don't get how our scouts found him ... a 29 year old who's on the wrong side of average

Well while I agree he doesn't fit in at all. He looks slow and is the wrong age. His stats for Standard Liege were good. He averaged a goal ever other game for 4 years. Plus of cause he was a freebie. I don't really think the scouts are wholly to blame.

But hey who cares. He's on massive wages and is rubbish. Get rid. Quickly!

The wages were shocking, given the supposedly signing on fee that came along with the deal. Cole's one was understandable to some extent. Jovanovic's one is buffling.

Suppose he'll be 'fighting for his place' though. *

(shit player on obscene money who can't believe Liverpool were that stupid to give him the contract*)
