I was optimistic as anyone when Kenny took charge.. and he pulled us out the mire most certainly.

At times towards the end of last season we looked awesome, however at times we also looked very below par...

I am remaining positive for the new season, however how would you react if he has the same sort of start to the new season as Hodge Podge did last season.. ??

I'd hate to see the Kings reputation tarnished..

I'm still really optimistic .We have a manager that inspires the players, a manager they want to play for. The backroom staff also seems to have improved. I really think with a revamped squad kenny will have us challenging for fourth and we will be back in europe in 2012/13. With CL footy to look forward to the potential world class signings we are currently crave will want to come here. With those additions to squad that has had a year to settle we can think about challenging for the title.

I don't remember ever thinking we looked "very" below par last season. Our form overall under Kenny was easily good enough for a CL place and you don't reach such a level if you dip *that* far below your best.

As for the upcoming season, I don't think there's an ice-lolly in Hell's chance we'll drop back down to the standards we saw under Roy. If by some mischance it were to happen after all, I would absolutely keep the faith. At the beginning of Kenny's first spell in charge back in the 1980s we dropped well down the league for a time and the rest, as they say, is history.

quite a few games we where below par.. usually against lesser opposition

WBA is one that springs to mind, the other Braga

I don't think there is a chance we will stoop to the lower levels we had under Hodgson.. however this is football.. when its Liverpool anything can happen.

I hope for kenny to bring the glory times back.. it would just be the ideal 'fairytale' come true..

No, but if Kenny does not get results in his first couple of games, you can imagine what bandwagon the media will start jumping on..

We are starting at home for the first time in ages. We will get out the blocks flying...

sit back and chillax.

We were pretty dreadful in Europe and ended up getting knocked out with a bit of a whimper.

Our Prem form, as you say, was up there with the best. I can't see any reason as to why that shouldn't continue.

TBF, I think Europe signified how poor the squad was, don't forget we were desperately in need of points in the league for much of the European campaign and that reflected in the lineups, we were chronically short of pace and creativity in key areas in those team selections. League wise I thought we were a breath of fresh air at times and gave a big fuck you to the notion that we weren't good enough to finish in the top six. Of course there were times when we faltered, which was a reminder of our flaws, but by and large he got us punching higher after a few games, which was a massive contrast to how we were playing under Roy.
