Liverpool have today finalised a deal to sell Paul Konchesky to Leicester City.

The 30-year-old, who played 18 games for the Reds, will now join the Championship outfit for pre-season.

don't get me wrong , i never wanted to see him in a liverpool shirt again but now that he's gone i feel a little sorry for him . In his position would any player have turned us down?
Then so quickly he was doomed as he was seen as the ultimate Hodgson player , his Ma acted the cunt and then when he's sold he can't even get a prem league team after being a starter for a decent mid table one for a number of years !! . Disaster of a transfer all round .
 
We have signed some rubbish players that appalled me, Pennant, Crouch, Nunez etc but I have never been so sure that a player would fail at Anfield more than I was when we signed Konchesky, he is a very, very poor player.

I didn't expect the signing to work either but I wouldn't go quite as far as you. Out of more recent signings Voronin and Degen would be my nominations.

But I'm quite sure Voronin and Degen were bought as squad players whereas it was obvious that Hodgson intended playing Konchesky as our No.1 left back.

Not sure about Degen TBH. Rafa saw RB as an area which needed strengthening from the moment he arrived - witness the Josemi signing. Fair point about the Crow though.
