That's what the Daily Star thinks ... Tbh, I'd take that ...
KENNY DALGLISH will be allowed to spend this summer – but his transfer kitty will get a major cut.
The Liverpool manager spent £60m on players last summer but will only get around £20m this time.
He wants to strengthen the team after a poor Premier League campaign that has seen them miss Champions League qualification for the third year running.
Liverpool, eighth in the table, visit Norwich tonight as they attempt to avoid their worst league finish since returning to the top flight in 1962.
Dalglish is already planning ahead and hoping that the £12m Liverpool received from Chelsea for Raul Meireles can be topped up by selling Joe Cole and Alberto Aquilani, both out on loan. Cole has spent the season at Lille, Aquilani at AC Milan.
In addition, Liverpool are likely to offload Dirk Kuyt.
Dalglish said: “We will have money to spend. There will be money for us to buy players.
“Whether it’s the FA Cup money, Raul being sold to Chelsea or from commercial sources, it doesn’t matter where it comes from.
“It all goes into the coffers. The money which is there for us to spend, we will get whatever they can give us.”
Dalglish has drawn up a list of transfer targets.
And he is ready to press on despite the recent exit of director of football Damien Comolli, who was a leading figure in Liverpool’s transfer dealings during his 17 months at Anfield.
Dalglish is believed to want midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson, who has been superb since joining Swansea on loan from German club Hoffenheim in January.
He’s also after Athletic Bilbao dangerman Iker Muniain. Dalglish said: “There are not a lot of changes needed.
“The players have shown great resolve to continually bounce back from not getting the reward their performances deserve.
“Like every other football club in the summer, there’s going to be transfer activity because that’s what players expect.
“They look at the football club and they say, ‘Who are they going to bring in this summer?’
“They want to be excited as much as the supporters want to be excited.”
